Prelude to Passion

Prelude to Passion
Different dreams at night
Whisper to me in vain
Dark nights of passion running
Around through my brain
An intense kind of heat
Tossing me in my sleep
Unconscious secrets only I have to keep
And yet the more they move me
Like a distant undertow
They follow me wherever I have to go
In every direction, they never seem to cease
This yearning for you never gives me any peace
A prelude to passion this I can’t deny
This is only the beginning of a sweet lullaby
A prelude to passion nothing more can be said
Just a prelude going around in my head
In the senselessness of night
The overwhelming tide
Of wishes and desires while laying on my side
Look what love has done to me and my soul
It’s a love that I can no longer contain
A prelude to passion
This is only the start
Of something that has been bursting inside of my heart
A prelude to passion
It started with a kiss
And explodes in a moment
Like this

                  Purple Heart

    Moonbeams on my shoulder
                   Stars in endless streams
                   casting broken shadows
in the madness of my dream

                   In this forsaken hour
I'm forced to pack my bags
                   Love can make you hopeless
                   or tear you into rags

                   Shadows drifting, fading,
                   nighttime devour
                   I meant to say goodbye
but I haven't got the power

                   Give me a purple heart
I've earned it for my life
                   Loving can be hard
like the sharp edge of a knife
                   Give me a purple heart,
                   something for my soul
I can't play the loser role

                   The light behind the curtain
                   soothing like a sigh
                   Time stands still uncertain
Will I laugh or will I die !

                   Give me a purple heart
I've earned it for my life
Love can be hard like the
                   sharp edge of a knife.
