Logline:

A single wish transports five friends to a parallel plane of existence where they re-emerge as teenagers.

Synopsis:

Best friends Charles, Tony, Ed, Marnie and Lee Ann have been close friends since their student days at Kennedy University in 1977. Through the years they have relied on each other and shared their various joys and sorrows. Though they moved to different locations, mind frames and interests they keep in almost daily contact keeping the friendship alive. Some of them felt they were even soul-mates.

On July 4th 1997 the friends and alumni of Kennedy University were to meet again at the Annual Barbecue in Washington, DC. No longer carefree teenagers they once were, the 37 year olds are tired and a little burnt out.

One of the friends bellows a heartfelt wish to be 20 years younger and to start again. This time he wishes a little too hard. Suddenly the gang is sucked into a Vortex back to 1977. Glory days? Be careful what you wish for. This character driven adventure promises to change them forever.

VORTEX is a family oriented retro road trip with a touch of "Back to the Future" and "The Wizard of Oz".
